Job summary

The University of South Carolina invites applications for a BNA Research Technician in the Psychology department. Under general supervision, you will support animal-research and behavioral-neuroscience studies, maintain breeding, census, and genotype records, and ensure compliance with animal-care and safety standards.

You will follow approved protocols, document findings, manage workload, and collaborate with the principal investigator to advance studies on executive-function impairments in HIV

Qualifications

• Knowledge of animal-care, research-safety and IACUC-compliance principles.
• Ability to follow approved protocols and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to conduct behavioral and tissue-based procedures, organize workload, communicate findings, and consult supervisor when needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct established animal-research, behavioral-neuroscience, colony-management, and neuroanatomical procedures.
• Maintain breeding, census, genotype, and experimental-assignment records; ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
