Job summary

Kaiser Permanente seeks a Consultant-Liaison Psychologist to evaluate and diagnose Health Plan members with mental disorders affecting their medical conditions. The role involves developing and implementing treatment plans, coordinating care, and providing crisis intervention when needed.

Responsibilities include intake evaluations, progress documentation, psychoeducation groups, and collaboration with primary care teams and psychiatry.

Qualifications

• Must have doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited program.
• California psychologist license within 6 months of hire; license from any state required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and evaluate treatment plans for referred members.
• Provide crisis intervention and brief psychotherapy as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians for screening and evaluating medications within scope of practice.
• Educate and support members and families to enhance adherence to medical/behavioral regimens.
• Liaise with Psychiatry, Chemical Dependency Services and Behavioral Health teams as needed.
