Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara, CA seeks a Psychologist for a Consultant-Liaison role to evaluate and diagnose Health Plan members with mental disorders affecting medical conditions. You will develop and coordinate treatment plans, provide brief psychotherapy and crisis intervention, and collaborate with medical staff within primary care.

Responsibilities include intake evaluations, progress notes, family education, and program evaluation.

Qualifications

• PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health or School Psychology required.
• California Psychologist License within 6 months of hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose Health Plan members with mental disorders impacting medical conditions.
• Develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate treatment plans including crisis intervention and brief psychotherapy.
• Provide psychoeducation to members and families to support adherence to medical and behavioral regimens.
• Co-manage medical conditions using nonpharmacologic and behavioral interventions to optimize physician time.
• Administer and evaluate psychological and neuropsychological tests as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications.
• Provide consultation and training to APC team on mental health and behavioral medicine.
