Arc of Onondaga in Syracuse, NY, seeks a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to design and implement Behavior Support Plans for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will collaborate with the clinical team, ensure regulatory compliance, train staff, and monitor care to promote positive behavioral outcomes while upholding ethical standards.

A Master’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience are required, with OPWDD BIS eligibility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a clinical or treatment field (Psychology, Social Work, etc.)
• At least 3 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• OPWDD qualifications or combination of education and certification
• Eligibility for Level 1 or Level 2 BIS under OPWDD regulations

Responsibilities

• Develop & Implement Behavior Support Plans to promote positive behaviors
• Ensure regulatory compliance and human rights standards in interventions
• Collaborate with program planning team to support psychological services
• Lead and train staff for consistent, best-practice implementation
