Job summary

Family of Kidz in Nassau County, NY is seeking a Behavior Consultant / BCBA to partner with schools and families, implement behavior plans, and guide teams in data-driven interventions. Roles may be part-time or full-time with a fee-for-service option.

You will conduct FBAs, design BIPs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational goals and behavioral progress. Strong communication, organization, and clinical supervision skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
• BCBA Certification preferred.
• NYS Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
• Minimum 1 year experience in settings supporting children and families.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school staff and families to develop individualized behavioral supports.
• Conduct FBAs and work with teams to identify function of behavior.
• Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Collect and analyze data to assess progress and adjust interventions.
• Provide coaching and feedback to classroom staff for consistent implementation.
• Support IEPs and CSE meetings to align behavior plans with educational goals.
• Document progress and maintain HIPAA/FERPA compliant records.
• Participate in professional development and monthly meetings.
• Travel between assigned districts to provide on-site consultation.
