Job summary

Family of Kidz in Suffolk County, NY is seeking a Behavior Consultant/BCBA to collaborate with schools, staff, and families. You will conduct FBAs, design BIPs, collect data, and coach classroom teams to apply evidence-based strategies.

This role supports students across districts, requiring strong communication and organizational skills, with travel as needed. Compensation ranges reflect hourly or annual rates, depending on hours and credentials.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, Educational/Health/Human Services.
• BCBA Certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience supporting children and families.

Responsibilities

• Partner with school staff and families to develop individualized, evidence-based behavioral supports.
• Conduct FBAs and collaborate to identify function of behavior and intervention strategies.
• Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans aligned with student needs.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret behavioral data to evaluate progress and adjust interventions.
• Provide ongoing coaching and professional development to classroom staff.
• Attend CSE meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and HIPAA/FERPA compliance.
