Job summary

Birch Family Services in New York City seeks an Assistant Clinician to work with residential or day habilitation staff under the supervision of the Behavior Intervention Specialist and management. You will help assess needs, develop goals, and ensure data accuracy and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in OPWDD-related field; ability to document records and attend team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Work with BIS and team to identify behavioral, psychiatric, social, vocational, health, nutritional and mobility needs of individuals.
• Assist with assessments, observations and development of CFA/Life Plan goals.
• Ensure data collection, daily/monthly progress reports, and revisions are accurate.
• Support IDT with staff training on clinical interventions and programming.
• Facilitate case conferences and contribute to CFA/life plan reviews and staff action plans.
• Attend weekly IDT meetings and participate in team-building and committee work.
• Maintain confidentiality and coordinate referrals for consultations and evaluations.
