Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions.
• Provide admissions and intake services to patients.
• Respond to inquiries about mental health care.
• Admit patients to the hospital and register outpatients with appropriate physician orders or transfers to another facility.
• Document calls and related admission information.
• Review all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence with hospital and regulatory policies.
• May staff a crisis hotline.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions.
• Provide admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
• Respond to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health‑related services.
• Admit patients to the hospital and register outpatients with appropriate physician orders or transfers to another facility.
• Document calls and related admission information.
• Review all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence with hospital and regulatory policies.
• May staff a crisis hotline.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Night and weekends availability preferred.
