Job summary

Telecare Corporation's Santa Cruz County Psychiatric Health Facility seeks an Administrator to lead the program's clinical and financial success, overseeing patient care teams and daily operations. The position requires a Bachelor's degree, inpatient psychiatric experience, budgeting and staff supervision, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; healthcare or public health focus preferred.
• Four (4) years of experience in an administrative management position in a health care setting; inpatient psych experience.
• Two (2) years of responsibility supervising professional staff, budgeting, program planning, and licensing.
• Must understand community mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation concepts, and the Recovery Philosophy.
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified on date of employment and maintained throughout employment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to use personal vehicle for meetings with IRS mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Program across four pillars: Clinical Quality, Workforce Engagement, Customer Satisfaction, and Financial Security.
• Lead and support the team providing patient care; collaborate with corporate functions, state/county agencies, and community partners.
• Participate in on-call rotation; respond to work-related needs within designated timeframes.

The Santa Cruz County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) is a 16-bed locked acute psychiatric inpatient program for adults aged 18+, diagnosed with serious mental illness (SMI), experiencing a mental health emergency and require intensive treatment and support.

What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Administrator is a key position in driving the organization's success. They are responsible for both clinical and financial success of their Program which contributes the overall success of both Telecare and those we serve. The individual in this role is responsible for overseeing and leading the team of people providing patient care as well as managing the business operations of the Program. They are responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Program, which involves ensuring successful management and leadership over the 4 Pillars of performance: Clinical Quality, Workforce Engagement, Customer Satisfaction, and Financial Security. Additionally, the Administrator collaborates with all corporate functions and outside consultants and representatives of the program to State/County agencies, community partners, and consumer groups. Employees in this role are required to participate in a structured on-call rotation, remaining accessible and prepared to respond to work-related needs within a designated timeframe. Rotations are scheduled in advance. While on-call, employees must actively monitor communications (e.g., phone, email) and respond in accordance with operational protocols.

Shifts Available: This role requires you to work onsite in Santa, Cruz, CA

Full-Time: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM; days and hours could vary as this is an inpatient hospital. Will also include on call Rotation

Expected starting wage range is $156,572.96 - $193,421.22 Plus $10,000 Sign-on Bonus. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Social Services or Public Health
• Four (4) years of experience in an administrative management position in a health care setting. Must have inpatient psych experience. Prefer Joint Commission experience
• Two (2) years of responsibility of supervising professional staff, budgeting, program planning, and licensing
• Must understand community mental health services, psychiatric rehabilitation concepts, and the Recovery Philosophy
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and CPI certified (hands-on course) on date of employment or prior to providing direct client care and maintain current certification throughout employment
• All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual or local requirements may apply.
• Valid and current driver's license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
• Willingness to use your personal vehicle to attend meetings, etc. (weekly mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate)
