Saint Clare's Health in New Jersey seeks a Unit Secretary for the Behavioral Health Unit on a per diem basis. The role supports communication, records preparation, and indirect patient care under supervision, while transcribing physician orders and maintaining patient charts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for all new hires.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Working knowledge of the continuum of care for Behavioral Health preferred.
• Patient Rights Education/Competency within 60 days of hire and maintain current as deemed necessary.
• Two years of experience using computers for word processing, database management and spreadsheets preferred; Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook & Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transcribes physician orders from records with notation and signature by nursing staff.
• Prepares and compiles records on the Behavioral Health Unit.
• Orders supplies for the unit and prepares patient charts for necessary forms.
• Assist nursing staff for duties involving indirect patient care.
