Job summary

Prairie St. John's, a state-of-the-art behavioral health facility, is seeking a Mental Health Technician for a full-time Monday–Friday schedule (8:00am–4:30pm).

Join our expanding team at the 132-bed facility providing inpatient, day treatment and intensive outpatient services since 1997. The role supports patient care across units, assists with admissions and documentation, and participates in crisis intervention and team-based care under supervision.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children, adolescents or adults in a health care setting or group setting.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work across units.
• Familiarity with admissions, transfers and discharges procedures.

Responsibilities

• Organizes activities to complete tasks on schedule and helps direct patient flow.
• Maintains patient charts and records; assists with admission documentation.
• Supports RN/LPNs with daily setup and duties as approved by the RN.
• Assists with emergency code response and crisis intervention when needed.
• Schedules patient appointments and pre-registers for existing appointments.
