Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in Fargo, ND is seeking a qualified Mental Health Technician to join our expanding behavioral health team at Prairie St. John's, a 132-bed facility.

This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with full benefits and a supportive work environment. Responsibilities include organizing activities, managing patient flow, chart handling, and assisting nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children, adolescents or adults in a health care setting or group setting.

Responsibilities

• Organizes assigned activities to complete them in a timely fashion and assists in organizing the unit and nurses' stations.
• Help direct patient flow, retrieve charts from physician offices, track patient lab work and other documents; monitor admission lab turnaround.
• Initiates chart forms for patient admissions, transfers, and discharges; assembles admission charts.
• Maintains patients' charts in appropriate organizational and sequential order.
• Inventories unit stock ensuring availability of proper supplies.
• Assists RN and LPNs with daily setup and delineation of duties upon the approval of the RN.
• Schedules patients' appointments and pre-registers patients for existing appointments.
