Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX, seeks a Behavioral Health Licensed Therapist to lead clinical assessments and provide individual and family therapies. The role collaborates with the treatment team, coordinates discharge planning, and ensures funding and legal requirements for involuntary status are met.

The therapist will participate in daily group therapy, complete psychosocial assessments, and promote Service Excellence across patient care teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed Therapist Credentials: LPC, LPC-Associate, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, currently licensed in Texas with a Master’s Degree (in Mental or Behavioral Health)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days of start date and maintain certification throughout employment

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership in departmental services and collaborates with healthcare team to meet patient needs.
• Coordinates discharge planning and ensures funding and legal process requirements for involuntary status.
• Delivers individual and family therapies and conducts psychosocial assessments.
• Supports service excellence standards across customer groups.
