Job summary

Renewal, Inc. seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to supervise daily activities of adults in its licensed inpatient treatment programs in Pittsburgh. You will monitor client movement, enforce rules, and support a safe, structured therapeutic environment.

Key duties include headcounts, searches, urine screenings, group attendance, and collaboration with Clinical and Security staff to promote safety and engagement in treatment. A High School diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ related experience preferred.
• Background clearances including Act 33 and Act 34 required.
• Pennsylvania driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine headcounts, locker and personal searches, urine screening, and monitor client movement.
• Maintain order and cleanliness within the unit, ensuring client accountability.
• Oversee assigned housekeeping duties.
• Monitor attendance at scheduled groups, classes, and other program activities.
• Assess and prioritize both emergency and non-emergency situations, exercise sound judgment, and respond appropriately to changing circumstances.
• Collaborate with Clinical, Security, and other interdisciplinary staff to promote client safety, treatment engagement, and successful program participation.
