Job summary

BBH Burrell Behavioral Health is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide direct and supportive care for clients in residential and withdrawal management settings. You will monitor vitals, assist with medications, and help implement treatment plans while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

The role includes supervising daily activities, transport when needed, and participating in group education and crisis intervention as part of a collaborative treatment team.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent; two years in human services preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and manuals.
• Basic math and documentation skills; familiarity with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients.
• Monitor vital signs and withdrawal symptoms; escalate when needed.
• Oversee medication administration; document and report discrepancies.
• Assist with self-administration of medications and OTCs; monitor glucose if applicable.
• Provide transportation and facilitate group education/activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and document shift events.
