Renewal, Inc. seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to supervise daily activities of adults in its licensed inpatient treatment programs in Pittsburgh. You will monitor client movement, enforce rules, and support a safe, structured therapeutic environment.

Key duties include headcounts, searches, urine screenings, group attendance, and collaboration with Clinical and Security staff to promote safety and engagement in treatment. A High School diploma or GED is required.

DEFINITION

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for supervising the daily movement and activities of adult men and women receiving services in Renewal, Inc.'s licensed inpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs. This position helps maintain a safe, secure, and structured therapeutic environment by monitoring client activities, enforcing program rules, and supporting the overall operation of the treatment units.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain order and cleanliness within the unit, ensuring client accountability.

Eligibility Requirements

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalency required. Two years’ related experience required. Experience working in substance use, behavioral health or related human services field preferred. Life experience preferred. Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and required background clearances including the Act 33 and Act 34 are required.
