Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA is seeking a BHT Shift Supervisor for our inpatient Detox and Residential facility. Shift: Overnights, 11pm-7am.

You will support admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, and phones, while engaging clients and upholding safety and recovery‑oriented policies. Leadership over BHTs and shift training are key responsibilities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid driver's license preferred.
CPR certification preferred.
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality.
Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.).
Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
Monitor clients and enforce all policies to ensure safety of clients and staff.
Record and elevate any critical communication/incidents in a timely manner.
Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office tasks).
Oversee all BHTs on your shift and provide training and support.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
