Job summary

Music City Detox is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support a safe environment for clients and assist in adjusting the program routine. The role emphasizes client safety, wellbeing, and collaboration with therapy staff to address clinical issues.

Responsibilities include monitoring clients, maintaining logs, de-escalating behavioral issues, and ensuring smooth shift turnover while upholding privacy and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working in substance abuse and/or mental health preferred.
• Valid state driving license with no major violations in past five years.

Responsibilities

• Record inventory log of belongings and ensure items are secured.
• Monitor clients during program and log whereabouts; ensure safety and wellbeing.
• De-escalate AMA and other client problems; provide emotional support and refer to therapy staff.
• Attend required staff meetings and training; maintain logbook for continuity of care.
• Transport clients as needed and communicate with staff to promote quality client care.
