Job summary

The Last Resort Recovery Center is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to join our team in Smithville, TX. You will engage with clients in accordance with treatment policies, support daily routines, and help maintain a safe environment on a 55-acre ranch setting.

The role emphasizes hands-on patient interaction, adherence to schedules, and collaboration with nursing and counseling staff to support recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate a basic understanding of chemical dependency recovery principles.
• Able to walk within the facility and grounds for about one mile per 8-hour shift.
• CPR certification is required.
• Able to sit for up to three hours per 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist in luggage and body searches.
• Monitor and facilitate Book Studies and Recovery meetings.
• Maintain awareness of patient locations and document hourly checks.
• Ensure patients follow the Bradford Program Schedule and are on time for assignments.
• Supervise patient activities and assist with transportation as needed.
• Ensure patients are in their rooms at the designated time in the evening.
• Oversee med line to prevent diversion and de-escalate situations.
• Assist patients to appointments, activities, and meals as needed.
• Assist the counselor and document relevant notes.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
