Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Covington, LA is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for all shifts. You will provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams, engage clients with warmth, monitor safety, and help with supervision, transportation, meals, and documentation to support recovery.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license and CPR, plus a demonstrated commitment to sobriety and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year sobriety required.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality.
• Dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.).
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce all policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff.
• Record and raise any critical communications/incidents in a timely manner.
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.).
