Job summary

Highlands Behavioral Health System in Littleton, CO seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support patient care in an acute psychiatric setting. You will supervise patients, facilitate psycho-educational groups, document observations, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment under the Charge Nurse.

This position offers an overnight shift with weekend requirements and a $4,000 sign-on bonus with commitment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in human services preferred.
• 2+ years of education in nursing, psychology, social services or related field; EMT/CNA/MA or security training optional.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license in the applicable state.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment; Handle with Care training may be completed during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned patients consistently.
• Facilitate psycho-educational groups.
• Document observations of patient behavior clearly.
• Perform basic housekeeping to maintain patient living areas.
• Ensure patient safety at all times.
