Job summary

The Emily Program is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support residential and inpatient units in Columbus, OH. You will facilitate therapeutic activity groups, help clients build skills to manage their eating disorder, and maintain a recovery-focused environment.

This full-time role is 0.6 FTE (20 hours/week) on 3rd shift, with rotating weekends/holidays. Starting pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, with final compensation determined by qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher or 2 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field; certification/licensure preferred.
• Valid driver's license and driving authorized.
• Previous direct mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team on care plans and admissions.
• Support residents in meals, snacks, outings, and recreation.
• Engage with residents, provide encouragement, and document observations.
• Monitor bathroom use and document exercise per treatment direction.
• Enforce policies and perform hourly room checks.
