Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital in Holyoke, MA is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support a safe, therapeutic milieu on a 7a-7p schedule (3 x 12-hr shifts). This role emphasizes observation, patient safety, and collaboration with the RN team to deliver quality care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior psychiatric healthcare experience, CPR and CPI training within 30 days, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Observation and safety monitoring with 15-minute checks and one-on-one care.
• Assists RN with vital signs, documentation, group education, and patient monitoring.
• Promotes positive patient experiences through effective milieu management.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safe milieu and conduct 15-minute checks.
• Report medical or psychiatric changes to RN and assist with admissions.
• Escort patients to activities and appointments and document care.
