  • Experience with youth or behavioral health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety, accountability and security of campus.
  • Supervise daily living activities and routines on and off campus.
  • Observe student behavior and progress toward treatment goals.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and speech.
  • Follow individual treatment plans and manage escalating behaviors.

Behavioral Health Technician II

Salary: $20.30 + $2-$3 shift differential.

Signing Bonus: $2,500. Additional retention bonus.

Youth Care Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to pass a thorough background check and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s in a field related to behavioral health OR an associate’s degree and at least two years full‑time behavioral health work OR high school diploma or equivalency diploma and four years full‑time behavioral health work.
  • Experience working with youth and/or in behavioral health settings preferred.
Youth Care Responsibilities
  • Maintain safety, accountability and security of campus.
  • Teach, coach and supervise students in activities of daily living including morning, bedtime and overnight procedures, hygiene and cleanliness, housekeeping, meals, intramurals, sports, academics, and extracurricular activities both on and off campus.
  • Observe the peer culture for patterns of behavior indicating progress or regression.
  • Observe individual student behavior over time and recognize progress towards treatment goals.
  • Effectively communicate, both written and orally.
  • Follow and implement individual treatment plans for all students.
  • Recognize escalating behaviors and intervene at the appropriate level to ensure safety and security.
