Sunshine Behavioral Health in Bastrop, TX seeks a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide supportive, structured care for individuals facing substance use or mental health challenges. The role is hands-on, fast-paced, and core to client recovery.

You will monitor client behavior, document vital signs, assist with admissions, transportation, and participate in groups, with supervision from operations and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver's license.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in mental health or crisis settings preferred.

Responsabilités

• Complete all BHT duties and documentation per policies and HIPAA.
• Monitor and document client vital signs.
• Assist with intake for new clients.
• Support detoxification protocols and withdrawal monitoring.
• Provide safe transportation to appointments.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation.
• Assist with daily living activities and group activities.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
