CenterPoint Health - Paris is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the Adult Behavioral Health unit. The role supports patient monitoring, daily living activities, and crisis intervention under RN supervision in a structured setting.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Nursing Assistant Certificate preferred.
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
Handle with Care certification required within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Under RN supervision, assist in ensuring optimal patient care.
Observe patients, document behaviors and maintain a safe environment.
Assist patients with hygiene, meals, routines and basic care.
Follow clinicians' care plans and support therapeutic activities.
De-escalate crises and respond to behavioral or emotional events.
Document patient progress and communicate with nurses, therapists and care team.
