Job summary

MIND 24-7 is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in Phoenix to support crisis stabilization and psychiatric care. You will work closely with nursing and clinical teams to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and engage with patients throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain patient safety and engagement during stabilization.
• Conduct patient security screenings and inventories upon admission.
• Respond to escalated behavior using therapeutic de-escalation techniques and, when necessary, administer restraint or seclusion interventions.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including toileting, dressing, hygiene, and eating.
• Collect and document vitals, urine drug screens, and pregnancy tests.
• Record all interactions and safety checks in the EHR.
• Support facility operations by keeping a clean environment and assisting with linens.
• Float between units as needed and participate in supervision and training.
• Perform other duties to support patients and clinical teams.
