Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Cleveland, TN is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our frontline care team. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is the standard baseline; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in psychology or social work is preferred.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment, mental health, or developmental disabilities is highly desired.
• CPR/First Aid certification and specialized crisis intervention training are commonly required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient Monitoring: closely observe and document patients’ moods, behaviors, and vital signs, reporting significant changes to staff.
• Crisis Intervention: safely de-escalate distressed individuals and manage psychiatric emergencies; SAMA training for de-escalation.
• Therapeutic Support: provide emotional support, coping strategies, and co-facilitate psychoeducational or recreational group sessions.
• Daily Living Assistance: guide patients through ADLs such as hygiene, eating, and basic life skills.
• Clinical Collaboration: assist with intake and discharge and maintain a safe therapeutic environment.
