Job summary

Odyssey House Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician for the Briscoe Lake Charles Program. The role involves 24/7 client supervision, direct care, and collaboration with clinical and medical teams to provide comprehensive substance use treatment services.

The position requires 6am-6pm schedule with rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, documenting progress, and supporting therapeutic activities and client

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment for clients.
• Exercise therapeutic communication with clients.
• De-escalate distressed clients and monitor safety.
• Observe and document client behavior; assist with activities.
• Monitor clients' physical well-being and progress; provide input to the interdisciplinary team.
• Oversee operations when staff are unavailable and assist with transportation as needed.
