Job summary

ThedaCare is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the Neenah Regional Medical Center. This 19-bed unit treats diverse health needs and is staffed by psychiatric hospitalists, RNs, CNAs, therapists, and support staff.

You will provide direct patient care, maintain a therapeutic environment, and support recovery goals. Schedule is a 12-hour day shift (5:30a–5:30p) with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Supports unit orientation and behavioral expectations.
• Observes and records patient involvement in daily living and prescribed interventions.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Maintain line of sight supervision of assigned patients.
• Observe patient behavior and notify appropriate staff for action and documentation.
• Document patients' behaviors per policies and guidelines.
• Orient patients and family to unit and hospital.
