Job summary

ThedaCare in Neenah, Wisconsin, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct patient care under RN supervision on a 12-hour night shift (5:30p–5:30a). This role supports unit orientation, enforces behavioral expectations, and participates in implementing treatment plans on the Behavioral Health unit.

The position involves high patient interaction, crisis response, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and support recovery goals

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred. Must be 18 years of age.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patients.
• Maintains line of sight supervision of assigned patients at all times.
• Observes patient behavior and documents pertinent information for action and notes.
• Defuses and reports crisis situations and intervenes when appropriate.
• Documents patients' behaviors and activities according to policies and guidelines.
