Job summary

Centerstone is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Technician to join our frontline team in Florida. The role involves supporting clients with daily living activities, supervising nutritional needs, and aiding in staff training.

A focus on patient interaction and safety is essential in this fast-paced setting. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 1 year in mental health or addictions facilities preferred, and CPR/BLS/CNA or Crisis Training.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in writing, verbally, in person and via virtual methods.
• Basic computer skills include MS Outlook, data entry, word processing, and documentation of vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs (BP, Resp, Temp) and report results to nursing.
• Assist and supervise clients in activities of daily living.
• Assist in providing for and supervising clients’ nutritional needs.
• Provide social interaction opportunities for clients.
• Assist in training newly hired Behavioral Technicians.
• Complete 15 minute safety checks.
• Inventory and document patient belongings including contraband and monetary items.
• Mediates agitated clients using approved team verbal techniques.
• Respond to emergency codes using team procedures.
