Job summary

Vitruvian Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support licensed clinicians in clinical, residential, or outpatient settings. You will monitor patients, assist with treatment plans, and help ensure a safe, therapeutic environment as part of a frontline health care team.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (associates/bachelors preferred) and CPR/First Aid plus crisis intervention training.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; higher degrees preferred.
• Experience: Substance abuse treatment, mental health, or developmental disabilities desirable.
• Certifications: CPR/First Aid and crisis intervention training often required.

Responsibilities

• Patient monitoring: observe moods, behaviors, and vital signs; report changes to medical staff.
• Crisis intervention: safely de-escalate and manage psychiatric emergencies; training for de-escalation.
• Therapeutic support: provide emotional support and co-facilitate psychoeducational or recreational sessions.
• Daily living assistance: aid patients with ADLs, hygiene, nutrition, and daily skills.
• Clinical collaboration: assist with intake and discharge and maintain a safe environment.
