Oceans Behavioral Hospital of Jackson is expanding inpatient behavioral health capacity for adults and seniors on the St. Dominic's campus in Jackson, MS.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) will assist nursing staff to maintain a therapeutic milieu and deliver patient care under supervision. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and CNA certification or at least 6 months direct patient care experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred, unless state regulations require otherwise.
• Current CNA certification or at least 6 months bedside patient care experience preferred.
• Must read, write and follow verbal and written instructions; strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor unit rules and maintain therapeutic milieu.
• Apply de-escalation and therapeutic interventions when needed.
• Inventory patient belongings and secure contraband; conduct safety checks.
• Perform patient care under nursing supervision: vital signs, ADL, nutrition monitoring; report to nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility for patients; age/culture appropriate care.
• Document patient observations and outcomes; communicate with nursing staff.
• Participate in required in-service trainings and maintain infection control standards.
