Pyramid Healthcare in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for a full-time day shift. You will supervise clients, assist with intake, daily routines, and treatment activities in a structured, supportive environment designed for recovery.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid/AED certifications (or ability to obtain), and the ability to stay calm and collaborative in challenging situations to ensure

• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications, or the ability to obtain them upon hire.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, healthcare, residential treatment, or social services.
• Experience working with individuals who need behavioral health or recovery support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, support, and engagement to clients throughout the day.
• Assist with client intake, orientation, daily routines, and adjustment to the treatment environment.
• Monitor, observe, and document client behavior, progress, and significant incidents.
• Support therapeutic activities, group programming, and scheduled treatment activities.
• Observe and document medication self-administration in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist with transportation to appointments and program-related activities as needed.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral and emotional crises using approved de-escalation techniques and interventions.
• Support clients with activities of daily living and dietary needs as appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and structured treatment environment.
• Complete required documentation, training, and compliance activities accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with clinical, medical, and administrative team members to support client safety and treatment goals.
• Maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality.

Pay: $17.00 per hour + up to $1.50 shift differential
