Job description

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct care and support to clients with behavioral health needs, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment during their clinical treatment day and the sober living at Renewed Recovery housing. This role also includes transporting clients to and from the facility and the sober living house, appointments, and other necessary locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Care:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Implement and monitor individualized treatment plans developed by the clinical team.
  • Conduct therapeutic activities and facilitate group sessions as directed by the clinical supervisor.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress, behavior, and overall well-being.
  • Transportation Services:
  • Safely transport clients to and from the facility, medical appointments, and community activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules and client travel logs.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and well-maintained.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure the safety of clients during transport.
  • Crisis Intervention:
  • Respond to crises and emergencies, providing appropriate interventions to de-escalate situations.
  • Report critical incidents to the clinical supervisor immediately and document accordingly.
  • Documentation and Communication:
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including daily logs, incident reports, and treatment progress notes.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
  • Compliance and Training:
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; CDCA licensure required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in a behavioral health setting or related field.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and assisting clients.

  • Requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,797.00 - $43,680.00 per year
