Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to join the Nursing Department for the NOC/Overnight Shift. The BHT will support licensed staff in providing safe, therapeutic patient care as delegated, following policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• High school diploma or GED; minimum one year of acute psychiatric inpatient experience preferred.
• CPI certification must be completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed staff in patient care according to treatment plans.
• Observes and reports patients’ progress to appropriate staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides relief coverage during breaks by supervising patients or answering phones as needed.
• Remains flexible and adapts to changes in assignments or priorities.

Job Summary

We are seeking Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join the Nursing Department at College Medical Center Phoenix for the NOC/Overnight Shift. The BHT will support licensed staff in providing safe and therapeutic patient care as delegated, in adherence to policies and procedures. This is an entry-level patient care, nursing assistant role focused on cleaning, assisting with showers, patient rounds, and observation. No therapy or case management will be performed in this role.

Duties and Qualifications

• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card required
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Assists licensed staff in the provision of patient care according to individual treatment plans
• Observes and monitors patients’ progress and reports observations to the appropriate staff
• Assists patients with activities of daily living
• Provides staff with relief coverage for break periods by supervising patients or answering telephones as needed
• Remains flexible and adapts to changes in assignments or priorities to provide the most effective support for patients
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required; minimum one year of experience in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting preferred
• CPI certification required within 30 days of hire

Placement and Compensation

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC Phoenix in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
