Our client has immediate starts for motivated professionals to work as a Behavioral Health Technician in Northern VA.

Summary of Client's Description of This Opportunity

• Provide direct care and supervision to patients in a mental health setting.
• Assist in implementing and following individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor and document patient behaviors, progress, and any significant changes.
• Support patients in daily activities, therapeutic exercises, and group sessions.
• Ensure a safe and structured environment for individuals receiving treatment.
• Collaborate with mental health professionals, social workers, and nurses to support patient care.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal mental health regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Client's Required Experience and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant education or certification in psychiatric technology or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working in mental health, forensic, or similar settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications, therapeutic techniques, and behavioral management strategies.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
