Shift: Saturday & Sunday (7:00am - 7:00pm)

Job Summary:

Join our team at Burrell Behavioral Health as a Behavioral Health Technician in the Kansas City, Missouri area! Support clinical staff and deliver compassionate care to children and adolescents with mental health conditions in various settings including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, and residential facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care and Safety: Monitor patients, assist with daily tasks, de-escalate situations, enforce safety, and report changes in condition.
  • Therapeutic Activities: Lead and evaluate recreational and occupational therapy sessions.
  • Milieu Management: Maintain organized living spaces and promote prosocial behaviors.
  • Documentation: Record observations and interventions accurately in health records.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
  • Treatment Plan Implementation: Execute aspects of individualized treatment plans.
  • Client Education: Teach psychiatric concepts, symptom recognition, and coping strategies.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or two years of related employment
