Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support patients in a correctional mental health setting. The role includes participating in treatment planning meetings and delivering interventions for individuals with serious mental illness.

You will supervise patients, provide education on daily living activities, coordinate activities programming, and assist with records and telepsychiatry scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sciences, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field.
• Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients with serious mental illness.
• Proficient in Excel to create and maintain scheduling databases.
• BLS and CPR certification required.
• Background check and agency security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
• Implement interventions for patients in correctional mental health care.
• Supervise patients and provide education on daily living activities (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.).
• Provide care and activities programming including social rehabilitation and leisure activities.

The Behavioral Health Technician participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health/healthcare setting.
