Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician at Zephyrhills Correctional Institution in Zephyrhills, Florida. The role includes multidisciplinary treatment planning and implementing interventions for patients in a correctional health setting.

You will supervise patients, teach activities of daily living, coordinate care and programming, and assist with records and telepsychiatry scheduling. Benefits accompany the role with a $25/hour pay rate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Sciences, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field.
• Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients who have a serious mental illness.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• Competencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases.

Responsibilities

• Participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health/healthcare setting.
• Supervises patients and provides formal education in activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.).
• Provides care and activities programming as well as social rehabilitation and leisure activities.
• Assists in the preparation and maintenance of records pertaining to patient mental health.
• Schedules, sets up, operates and supervises telepsychiatry appointments.
