Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Baton Rouge, LA seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to support admissions, client care, and daily operations at our facility. This role emphasizes safety, compassionate client interaction, and close collaboration with medical and clinical staff.

You will document incidents, assist with transport and meals, and help maintain a warm, recovery-focused environment for clients pursuing detox, rehab and aftercare services.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.).
Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
Monitor clients and enforce all policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff.
Record and elevate any critical communication/incidents in a timely manner.
Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.).

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking to hire Behavioral Health Technicians for our facility in Baton Rouge, LA!

What You'll Do

Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
Record and elevate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)

What We're Looking For

High School diploma or GED preferred
Valid Driver's license and CPR certification preferred
If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills
Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality
Dignified character that models recovery principles
