Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of: Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Fundamentals of Nursing or equivalent medical/behavioral health program.
• Strong teamwork, communication and patient-focus.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (HCP) certification within 60 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on physical, psychosocial, education, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the patient’s age.
• Ongoing communication with patients and health care team regarding patient status and care.
• Assist with unit and environment-related tasks, safety checks, and patient safety initiatives.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration of the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge.
