Description
Behavioral Health Technician (PRN) – Crisis Facility

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Behavioral Health Technician to join our crisis facility team. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health crises.   • PRN shifts (as needed for call outs)
Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
  • Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with facility policies
  • Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
  • Daily chart documentation
  • Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.
  • Flexibility to work on an as need basis (PRN)

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional certification in behavioral health or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situationsEmpathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
  • Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
