Job summary

Recovery Unplugged is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support clients through treatment under clinical supervision. The role focuses on creating a safe, therapeutic environment and building professional relationships.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges, EMR documentation, screenings, and assisting with transportation and daily care. Flexibility to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, healthcare, social services, or substance use treatment preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.

• Build positive, professional relationships with clients while providing support and encouragement throughout treatment.
• Maintain a safe and structured environment by monitoring client activities and enforcing program guidelines.
• Complete client admissions and discharge processes, including documentation and inventory of personal belongings.
• Conduct drug and alcohol screening procedures in accordance with company policies.
• Perform routine client safety checks and document observations accurately and timely.
• Assist with transportation, appointments, and other client needs as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility.
• Collaborate with clinical and medical staff to support client care and treatment goals.
• Complete all required documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond appropriately to client concerns, emergencies, and crisis situations.
