Job summary

Recovery Unplugged is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. The role supports clients on the 2nd shift, including weekends, to maintain a safe, structured treatment environment across our nationwide programs that blend clinical care with music therapy for recovery and wellness.

You will work with clinical and medical staff, assist with admissions and discharges, and help administer screenings while documenting observations in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Experience with EMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, professional relationships with clients while providing support and encouragement throughout treatment.
• Maintain a safe and structured environment by monitoring client activities and enforcing program guidelines.
• Complete client admissions and discharge processes, including documentation and inventory of personal belongings.
• Conduct drug and alcohol screening procedures in accordance with company policies.
• Perform routine client safety checks and document observations accurately and timely.
• Assist with transportation, appointments, and other client needs as required.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility.
• Collaborate with clinical and medical staff to support client care and treatment goals.
• Complete all required documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond appropriately to client concerns, emergencies, and crisis situations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.


• Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, healthcare, social services, or substance use treatment preferred, but not required.


• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
