We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry, based in Springfield, Virginia, United States.

Are you a compassionate caregiver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) residing in Springfield, VA?

Centria Health seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism. Your responsibilities will include implementing learning programs, collecting data on target behaviors, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with your direct supervisor. You will build trust with the child and family in their home setting, within 15 minutes of your residence.

Our comprehensive paid behavioral health training will prepare you to impact the developmental growth of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, while managing challenging behaviors.

Your typical day will include:

• Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various behaviors and styles.
• Partnering with a BCBA to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans, which may include physical and mental exercises.
• Using evidence-based techniques to engage children through activities that may involve standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
