Job summary

Guidelight Health in Norwood, KY seeks a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to support patients in PHP/IOP treatment programs. Under supervision of licensed professionals, you will implement treatment plans, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, document progress, and participate in crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Psychology or Sociology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to patient care.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Must pass background checks and drug screening.
• Previousexperience working in a behavioral health or mental health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to patients during treatment activities, including ADLs, therapeutic exercises, and recreational activities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient behaviors, progress, and responses to treatment; report changes to the clinical team.
• Facilitate Skills Groups following a curriculum and document notes on client behaviors.
• Assist in managing and de-escalating crisis situations safely and effectively.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities to promote self-awareness and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other staff for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
• Monitor environment to ensure safety for patients, staff and visitors.
• Pursue ongoing training and professional development in behavioral health.

Role Summary:

Guidelight Health isseekinga dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. The Behavioral Health Technician will play a crucial role in providing direct support andassistanceto patients undergoing mental health treatment. Under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals, the Behavioral Health Technician will implement treatment plans,facilitatetherapeutic activities, and ensure the safety and well‑being of patients within our care.

Role Responsibilities:

• Patient Support and Assistance: Provide direct support to patients during various aspects of treatment, including activities of daily living, therapeutic exercises, and recreational activities.

• Observation and Documentation:Maintainaccurateand detailed records of patient behaviors, progress, and responses to treatment interventions. Report any significant changes or concerns to the clinical team promptly.

• Safety and Security:Monitorthe environment to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors. Adhere to established protocols and procedures formaintaininga safe treatment environment.

• Professional Development:Participatein ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of behavioral health and patient care.

RequiredQualifications:
