Job summary

Schaefer Education Solutions is an agency dedicated to providing individualized education for learners with special needs. The organization offers 1:1, in-home instruction for students ages 2–22, tailoring educational programming to each learner’s unique needs. Schaefer is an approved Autism Scholarship and Jon Peterson Scholarship provider through the Ohio Department of Education, supporting families in accessing specialized services. The team includes Licensed Intervention Specialists, Regular Education Teachers, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Board Certified Associate Behavior Analysts, and Teaching Aides. Together, they design collaborative, individualized plans to help each student reach their full potential.

Role Description

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a full-time, in clinic role based in Mason, OH, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This role implements behavior intervention plans under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, using evidence-based practices to support skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Daily responsibilities include collecting and documenting behavioral data, reinforcing positive behaviors, assisting with academic and life skills instruction, and maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment. The RBT collaborates closely with the board certified behavior analyst to ensure consistent implementation of strategies and contribute to ongoing treatment planning. This position requires professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to promoting each student’s independence and well-being.

Qualifications
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear documentation, professional interaction with families and team members, and the ability to follow clinical and educational guidance.
  • Experience or training in Behavioral Intervention within educational, clinical, or community settings supporting individuals with special needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children or young adults with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral challenges is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, adhere to ethical guidelines, and follow individualized treatment and education plans consistently.
