Description

We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician to work in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Leander, Texas, United States.

Are you a compassionate caregiver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) located in Leander, TX?

Centria Health is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism, implementing learning programs, collecting data on target behaviors, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining client confidentiality, and meeting regularly with your direct supervisor. You will build trust and care with the child and their family in their home setting within 15 minutes from your residence.

Our comprehensive paid behavioral health training will prepare you to impact the developmental growth of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and support your assigned child through their unique development opportunities, including managing potentially aggressive reactions. Under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

What your day will look like:

  • Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various physical and mental behaviors, understanding some styles may be more confrontational.
  • Partnering with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans, which may include physical and mental exercises to support your assigned child.
  • Using evidence-based techniques to actively engage with children, including physical activities such as standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and occasionally carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.
